 In 2009 Porsche will unveil it's 4 door coupe model - now called Panamera. This will most probably happen during Geneva autoshow next spring.Porsche is willing to catch-up it rivals, already presented CLS, A5 and Passat coupe models earlyer. Panamera will also be equiped with hybrid drive system |

 After 3 wins in a row in 2005, 2006 and 2007 with the current GT3 RS-models the direction for 2008 went towards a 997 Turbo 4WD for Marc Basseng to drive for the victory. Unfortunatelly for him and for the team he scored only 2nd. |

 For the third time in a row Cargraphic wins the Tuner Grand Prix at Hockenheim. With a laptime of 1.08.882 again achieves the outright victory. The all new 997GT3 RSC 4.0 takes over from the former 996GT3 RSC 3.8 with half a second advantage per lap. |

 Active differential 4WD is the most sophisticated one available today. It was first used in Porsche 959 - supercar of 80's. Until today, Porsche 959's system is still the only one which make use of variable torque split for maximum traction under normal conditions. In most of the time, torque split between front and rear is 40:60, that is, the same as the car's weight distribution. In hard acceleration, weight transfer to the rear axle increases traction in the rear tyres while reduces traction in the front. |

Porsche 959 - from Paris to Dakar

 At 13,000 kilometers, the Paris-Dakar is one of the toughest races in history. In 1986, Porsche entered three 959s to compete. The 959 featured a six-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 2.8 liters and twin turbochargers outputting near 400 hp. All three completed the race. Two stood on the podium first and second overall. To add insult to injury, the non-entry "support" 959 crossed the line sixth overall. |
