Porsche 114 - type 114 - dream, that did not came true |
Most probably you haven't seen this model, or haven't heard about it. That's natural - 114 was never a production car. More - it haven't even reach the stage of prototype or a "concept". It was just Ferdinands' imagination and engineering ideas tuning on paper. As oposition to Volkswagen (volks - people, wagen - car), this one was called F-wagen (Ferdinandas' - car), because until this model Porsche built cars for Volkswagen, and using VW parts. Porsche 114 was to be the first all-round Porsche car. |
Porsche 944, 944S, 944 turbo (951), 944 S2, 944 S turbo and tuning |
In 1982, after success of 924 Carrera GT, Porsche decided to use these modifications, applied to 924, in a whole-new model. This is how 944 was born. Naturally-aspirating 2,5 inline-4 cylinders engine (8 valve) taken from 924S, wider body, bigger rear spoiler, better front aerodynamics. The same interiour, as in 924. Only seats were made by Recaro, and was definitelly better than those in 924. Yea by year Porsche improved 944, until it became the S3 - 968 model in 1992. |

Nice, isn't it? |
Renewed 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 4 and 4S |
Porsche continues renewing its 911 line - now Targa got new set of wheels, LED lights, redesigned bumpers and side mirrors. Big power sunroof of Targa version opens in 7s, almost as quick as the car gets to 100 mph. From now on every Porsche Targa will have fou wheel drive, that was formerly used only in Turbo versions, inteligent robotised mechanical gearbox |
Porsche 924 tuning - from custom to Carrera GT |
The easyest way to customize your car is simply to facelift it to newer, better model using parts that simply fit. Then you only need to paint it. 924 is the easyest solution, if you want to have "the look" of more expensive, 10 years "yonger" Porsche. You can easily transform your 924 to 944 S2, 968 or even Carrera GT! |
The cheapest Porsche you can find - the 924 |
Some people deride the 924 because it uses humble VW/Audi parts. These people have never had the pleasure of owning one. From 1976 till 1989 it was the Porsche's entry level car, the evry first with engine placed in front and watercooled. 924 can give you the feeling of driving a very special and rare car for reasonable amount of money. |
