Active differential 4WD is the most sophisticated one available today. It was first used in Porsche 959 - supercar of 80's. Until today, Porsche 959's system is still the only one which make use of variable torque split for maximum traction under normal conditions. In most of the time, torque split between front and rear is 40:60, that is, the same as the car's weight distribution. In hard acceleration, weight transfer to the rear axle increases traction in the rear tyres while reduces traction in the front.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a high-performance sports car built by Porsche since 2003. It is often confused with the non-roadlegal racecar Porsche 911 GT3-RS of 2001 and later, which was based on the Porsche 911 GT3-R of 2000. This purist variant of the GT3 is particularly suited for use on the track. The GT3 RS is distinguished by its performance capability and the unadulterated driving experience enjoyed with a racing car, but also meets all requirements for road-legal sports cars.

At 13,000 kilometers, the Paris-Dakar is one of the toughest races in history. In 1986, Porsche entered three 959s to compete. The 959 featured a six-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 2.8 liters and twin turbochargers outputting near 400 hp. All three completed the race. Two stood on the podium first and second overall. To add insult to injury, the non-entry "support" 959 crossed the line sixth overall.

Also known as "Spyder" or "RS", was the first Porsche racing car. Inspired by 356, created and raced by Walter Glocker. The very first victories came in 1955 LeMans, later in 1956 Targa Florio race. The 550's racing success has been a major, if not the major, contributing factor to Porsche's commercial success

356 is the Porsche's first production sportscar. Manufactured from 1948 through 1965, it was "upgraded" 4 times, so don't be surprised seing just 356, 356A, 356B and 356C models - as later in future, Porsche often upgrades it's models and sometimes, as in late 70s, it's even hard to know what sub-model you see - most probably only VIN code would tell for sure. Getting back to 356 - less than units 80 000 was produced

Some says Strosek's 944 is little bit too much - some believes, that stock 944 is little bit not enough. So for those early Rinspeed R49 (tuned Porsche 944) should be just be all right. Not extremely "pimped", just the appearance of classic muscle car - turboed 924 grill, Carrera GT style air intake, wide 3-piece BBS wheels and sideskirts
In 1991 Porsche turboed it's 911 (964) Carrera, giving this little supercar +70 HP - 320 in total. Two years later 3,6 liter engine, pulling 360 HP introduced - unfortunatelly only in one body version - wide body coupé, five speed manual transmission & rear-wheel-drive. German tuners - RUF offered much more versatility - RUF RCT Evo's come with all types of 964 and 965 bodies, with 3,6 liter engines, giving 370 HP through 6-speed manual transmission.
